More pictures and other stuff...

I have a couple of more photos to post and then it will be down to business!
Here are some of my christmas gifts that I received this year - stitching related...

This is the gift that I was sent as part of a message board Kris Kringle exchange. Its a great canvas type bag that they stitched and sewed the front piece too. Its beautiful!! The board in question is the Hungarian cross stitch board - http://xszemes.hu - the link in my sidebar and the person who pulled me is Magdi (madgi67)

This is a beautiful gift was sent to me by an online friend in Hungary - Amota Eva - we've been emailing back and forth for a little bit now, and I thought it was so neat that she thought of me when she made this needlecase...

Last but not least, I don't have a picture yet, but my dear husband bought me the pattern, charms and floss pack for Jeanette Douglas' My Stitching Treasure... then he went one step further and for our anniversary (boxing day) he got me the box that this piece goes in!!! It is going to be so beautiful once its done - this is going to be one of my 2006 pieces for sure!!! As soon as my fabric arrives I'm starting!

Now on to some business...I've been wanting to jump on the weight loss wagon for a long time now, but have alwasy managed to put it off, but as of tomorrow its going to stop. My three closest friends are all trying to lose weight - each for their own reasons - and are succeeding. If they can do it, so can I, and the good thing is that I know I will have their support. Two of the three friends have already each lost 30 pounds and their successes have made me want to do this even more. I know I can do it and if I put my mind to it I will. My biggest thing is being lazy - I need to get off my big behind and move! So as of tomorrow the ole treadmill gets dusted off and away we start. In addition to my other thoughts and notions, I'll be adding my hopefully successful weight loss progress to this blog. I really have to admire one of my friends - she has also been keeping a weight loss blog (thanks to her, I'm going to do the same) for about the last 5 weeks with great success, and she confided in me enough to let me read her blog. It takes a tremendous amount of courage and strength to do what she did, by putting her story into a blog- and I hope I will have just as much courage as she does when it comes to my journey! So thanks to you B, K & K for your inspiration, enthusiasm and your support!
