And keeps on growing... I thought I would post a couple of more garden pictures, the planting seems to be done, but you just don't know with my dad and his ever growing need to plant the perfect "jungle"
As you can see the poppies are sort of taking over and squishing the daisies into oblivion... hopefully the dasies will survive and then in the fall we can clean the poppies up a bit. We wanted to do that this spring but with all the rain we've been having it was a bit difficult, and then it was too late.
The front garden is also finshed... and looks good if I do say so myself...
Stitching wise I have an update as well... I finished off part 4 of the Hungarian Sampler and while I am loving how it is turning out, I have to hang my head in shame...
I really need to learn how to count! I could swear I had enough material, and in a way I do, but I'm not going to have anything left on the bottom to frame or do whatever with, while the top will have a ton of extra... oh well I'll push on and finish it but I'm still embarassed about it. Maybe I'lll just modify the next couple parts to see how I can get it to fit better... we'll see - I'll surprise you
I am also working on a SAR - stitch-around project, where original pattern goes around to a group of stitchers interested in stitching the piece, and once you are done, you mail it on to the next person. My SAR that I'm working on is Blackbird Designs "Winter Delivery" Its being stitched on 32ct lugana by SMF in cranberry that I asked Mindy to dye for me to look like the R&R fabric the pattern calls for - I'm not a big linen fan, I don't like the feel of it or the slubs.
