Wow, it took a while but I've hit 2oo posts with this one. When I started this blog I didn't think it would last as long as it has. To celebrate I'll be doing a small giveaway, so if anyone is interested please just leave a comment in this post and I'll do a draw on Tuesday for a winner. My blogaversary is also coming up next month, so be on the lookout for another small giveaway then as well.
Onto other things... yes I have been stitching, even though it doesn't seem like it. Here are a few progress pictures for you:
The next two letters in the alphabet for the blocks are done, here they are plus a picture of all four together. I still need to add the backstitched border to the first two, but that will be later.
I also finished off the first page on the Madonna piece - 3 pages to go!
And I also worked ahead and finished off my Bent Creek SAL. I just need to add the buttons and then it is complete.
I also started a new project (what else is new!). This one is for me and fits with the season... its called Pickled Pumpkin by Hillside Samplings. I was doing some stash diving, and this one just jumped right out into my hands! I couldn't resist starting him, especially since I happen to have a piece of orange fabric in my stash. Since I only started him last night, I don't have much to show - just the checkered border, so this is what he will look like when done.
And last but not least, I recieved my stitched mailart in the mail a little while ago (last week before we went to the mountains) and here it is. It is so beautifully done. I just love it! I also recieved a beautifully stitched bookmark with it as well. So huge thank you's to my partner. Though seeing how nicely this one was done, I'm feeling a bit nervous about mine. It hasn't arrived yet, at least my partner hasn't said so, and I just hope she likes it.
