Where to start... there is so much going on and happening and its only the 6th day of January!!
Before I start with stitching and other related stuff, there was a big announcement in our family, in that our family is growing... there will be the pitter patter of little feet soon at hand... my dear niece announced that they are pregnant and are due at the end of July!!! So I'm going to be a great auntie, my brother will be a grandpa, my dad will be a great grandpa, and best of all my grandma, will be a great-great grandma!!!
Everyone is very happy and very excited! I guess that means I really need to finish of her wedding piece that I'm working on and then get started on baby stitching for them! I've already been informed that they will be doing the nursery in Pooh...
I had a wonderful Christmas as well as New Year, and stash wise I did very well considering I didn't think I would be recieving any from my family...
Hubby first off surprised my by buying the Elan stand that my LNS had in stock, (they still haven't call to say the K's Creation's order has come in) so I am now the proud owner of my very own lapstand... as well as getting me the Drawn Thread's - Three Friends chart, and a pair of my first ever Gingher scissors. And all this before Christmas!
I'm still getting used to using the stand but its great, and I love it, and can use my q-snaps without any problems... the only thing I've noticed is that I find it awkward to use my "normal" 8x8 q snaps in that they seem to small for the stand, so I've had to dig out my 11x11 ones and those work much better...
Then for christmas I also recieved a wonderful gift of stash from one of my best friends and also fellow stitcher... she got me Mirabilia's Autumn in My Garden and a beautiful handmade wood needle threader and needle holder (as well as some other little things that I have already put to use...)
Then this week the mailman was very good to me as well... I got lots of stash as well... I got my order from Stitching Bits and Bobs that I ordered way back at the end of November, an order from San Man Originals that has a few gifts in it, as well as my stitching magazine subscription from Hungary, and two gifts also from Hungary! So right now I'm just rolling in new stash...
The two gifts I recieved... One was from my exchange partner from the Keresztszemes Tarsasag - one of the Hungarian cross stitch boards I frequent. I recieved two lovely little doily things (sorry no clue what else to call them) with beautifully stitched christmas candle motifs in the corner. Thank you Attila!
The second gift, was a wonderful surprise from one of my dear internet friends (who I met through the above board) Eva, which included a lovely piece of fabric to stitch on, I have no clue as to what kind it is, but I love it and keep fondling it as its so nice and soft! (I'm guessing something like lambswool - but don't know as I've never had a piece of that either...) a beautifully crocheted doiley, which I treasure (if only I could make such beautiful things!) and a hand crocheted (don't laugh too hard - as I've no clue what this could be) eye glass case looking thing! It could also be used to hold your cel phone, or other little stitching/knitting/crocheting gadgets. But either way I love them all and all are so beautifully stitched and finished!

Örülök, hogy megkaptad az ajándékaimat!
A terítő is kézzel horgolt, én csináltam. A másik: igazad van! Szemüveg vagy mobiltelefon vagy toll vagy akármitartó :) Találd ki, mire akarod használni!
I hope you love your Elan - I adore mine :) I couldn't live without it ! It sounds like you've been spoiled - well deserved !
