It is a freebie by Sanman Origials - Checkered Apples, and is available to the Sanman message board memebers only. I stitched it over 2 on my new favourite fabric - 25ct natual peral linen using dmc threads - though I did change the colour of the last apple to a different green than called for... I ran out plus I didn't want the leaves and the apple all the same colour.
This one has a specific purpose to it, when it will eventually be finished, I already know what I would like to make out of it. I would love to be able to make a needle book type thing, but on a larger scale, to hold more than just needles. However my finishing skills are lacking (extremely lacking) plus I'm a self admitted queen of procrastination, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to show off the actual finished product! Its one thing for me to picture what I would like it to be and to actually do it!
I would also like to say thank you for the lovely comments, I really do appreciate you taking the time to not only look at my blog but also the time to comment. Again thank you!
Mercy did have a question in her comment - as to where I found the freebie I stitched, and it is by A mon Ami Pierre and can be found here (that is the link for the desinger's freebies, but also check out the other great patterns you can get!)
