the good, the bad and the stitched...

As the title suggests I've got good news, some bad news and of course some stitching to share wtih you!

I'll get the bad stuff out of the way, that way we can end on a happy note!

I won't go into details, but suffice it to say I really wish we could start the new year over again. January literaly just ended (or there is 1/2hr left of it in my case) but I swear nothing has gone right from day one.

I know that God doesn't give us more than we can handle, but I seriously don't know how much more I can take and would love to see an end to this all (a good end). I promised I would try to be more positive but its getting harder and harder by the day, especially when everytime you think that something good will happen, you basically get slapped in the face with something bad again. Some days I totally feel like my life is sprialing out of control and I'm literally just sitting on the sidelines watching becuase there is nothing I can do to change it.

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, I've been feeling off - like I have a cold waiting in the wings that just doesn't want to come out. Which I guess could be seen a good thing but its been wearing me out and probably adds to my already stressed and blue mood. I've been looking at blogs but haven't really felt like posting...

Anyways, thank you for letting me vent, and enough of the bad stuff - lets get to the good things!!!

The most exciting news is that our family is expanding again! My niece is expecting baby #2 due at the beginning of August! Everyone is just thrilled to bits! So now to figure out some new baby stuff to stitch for the new arrival!

And of course the manadtory stitching update... Here is my progress so far on AimG - this is up to last sunday. I'm really enjoying stitching her and think she looks great so far. I did do one change though, I changed the black in her hair to DMC 3371 instead. The black just stood out too much, I like the way the dark brown blends more.

I switched to working on my red and white table cloth as I really wanted to finish it for Feburary so I can have it on the table, but I haven't really been stitching all that much this week, so the second half has been progressing a bit slower than the first half did. Here is where I am with that... 'scuse the pictures the project is still on my qsnaps in the frame...
